This is a blog where I gather useful (?) tips and code snippets that I have encountered along the way.
This blog allows me to store all this information online where it is easily accessible and also share it with anyone who might be interested.
Bon voyage.

Hi – Just a comment on your Digital Object Identifier post (https://pebblesinthesand.wordpress.com/category/digital-object-identifier/).
Your statement “The first (DOI) is used to uniquely identify an electronic document,” is not quite correct.
A DOI is a digital identifier of an object, not an identifier of a digital object. Thus DOI’s can be used to digitally identify a physical object, as well as its more common use to identify a digital object likean electronic article or dataset. See http://www.doi.org/faq.html for more information.
Cheers!
